The arrival of wisdom teeth can sometimes cause problems in the mouth. Impacted wisdom teeth can cause infection or displace other teeth.

 

In most cases, the best way to resolve these issues is to remove some or all of them. Usually, we will take an X-ray of your mouth to assess the exact position of the wisdom teeth. Extractions may take place during one or two appointments, depending on how many teeth need to come out.

 

Wisdom teeth extraction is generally straightforward and will be carried out under a local anaesthetic. Inhalation sedation can be administered if the patient is particularly anxious about the procedure.
